The top of Cape York is easily accessed from Cairns by land, air or sea.

Cairns is serviced from all around Australia by Qantas, Jetstar and Virgin Blue, and being an International airport there are many direct flights from around the world.

	Fly from Cairns to Bamaga (at the top) with Regional Pacific Airlines 1300 797 667 (61 7 4040 1400) The flight takes 1 hour and 45 minutes and follows the coast, with spectacular views of the Great Barrier Reef and departs Cairns 8am, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday and 3pm Friday. Aero-tropics (1300 656 110) also operate regular flights, departing Cairns at 7am Monday to Friday.
