Barramundi are a prized catch in northern Australia. This is one of the first for our season, after the rains have stopped and the 'dry' season weather pattern sets in: blue skies, cool nights and south-easterly trade winds typify the main part of the year when most visitors enjoy Cape York. A great table fish the barra usually need a dedicated effort to catch, but the reward is worth the effort. A reat spots fish it is a much catch species for any angler.
