A view of the northern peninsula area

The area north of the Jardine River is known as the northern peninsula area, it is home to 2 torres strait islander communities and 3 aboriginal communities. This photo gives a great view of our region; Jardine River Mouth and the Gulf of Carpentaria to the west, The Endeavour Strait, Prince of Wales and Thursday Island to the north, The Tip, Jackey Jackey Creek and the Great Barrier Reef to the east.
