The top of Cape York is home to both Torres Strait Islanders and mainland Aboriginal people. Seisia wharf is the first contact with the coast for the 4wd traveller who bump and sway the 1000kms to get to the top.It is the hub of the community. Here the coastal freighters bring all the supplies [Everything comes up from Cairns weekly] the local Thursday Island ferry departs, locals launch their boats and it is a great place to fish. This is where the road ends and we take off.
